Transportation
Population growth, sprawling land development, cross-county commuting, and a lack of transportation alternatives have led to increasing traffic congestion region-wide. The South Florida MSA had the 13th highest per-driver annual delay among large MSAs nationwide. Consistent with increased traffic delays and congestion costs, drivers are traveling more miles on South Florida highways. A new look at the way South Floridians' travel will enhance the quality of life and ease the burdens that many citzens face on their daily commute. |
