Higher Education
Post-secondary education is a critical element in the quality of South Florida's workforce. According to the Florida Taxwatch Center for Educational Performance & Accountability, "Through 2010, nine of the top ten fastest growing jobs in Florida will require an associate's degree or a postsecondary vocational certificate." This means that continuing education will become a vital component to the success or failure of South Florida's population. The attainment of higher education has been shown to produce higher salaries, ultimately raising the standard of living for many South Florida families, and improving their quality of life. To compete regionally, nationally, and internationally, Floridians must make accessible, quality higher education a priority. |
